January 2008
Sunday, January 20th, 2008It may only be the 19th, but a lot has happened already for us in 2008! Here’s a rundown.
- C & C got phones for Christmas. Have you been texted yet?
- We got our SeezNAz van back. Thanks to Pop for making sure it’ll run well for a long time to come!
- Alex got accepted to Liberty University for this fall.
- Alex also completed his physical fitness assessment for the ROTC. Since no school in Georgia offers a real aviation program, hopefully they’ll pick up the tab for his education. (-;
- Cassie auditioned for All-State band today. We’ll know soon enough about the results.
- Alysia had surgery this week. She is recovering very well. (Thank you Jesus!) Granny stayed over and took very good care of us.
- This weekend we’ve had a lot of cold, cold rain. A little sleet, but no, Granny, no snow for Muscogee County.
- Last weekend was Ashley’s District Honor Chorus. That trickster got us good! It wasn’t a singing solo, but she had a special part that she didn’t tell us about. She told me I’d like the concert because it had funny stuff in it, but she never told us about her special. I’ll post the video here when it’s ready.
Next month,
- I hope to take Alex for a campus visit to Liberty.
- District Bands for all three big kids on the 9th!
- Deadline for applications for the 2009 Bands of America Honor Band for the Tournament of Roses Parade. Just in case all three get accepted and pass the audition, we’re already taking sponsors. (-:
- By the way, family and friends can go also, and it includes a visit to the ‘Rose Parade’ on January 1th.
