June 2007 Update
Sunday, June 10th, 2007Alysia and I have been busy with work. I also helped out a lot with the tech duties at church over the past few months. Since I can’t blog at work, updates here just haven’t been forthcoming. Sorry y’all! Here’s the current summary.
What? Did I never tell the results of the drum major try-outs? We heard Alex was #2, but he didn’t make it as drum major. Congrats to David!
Meanwhile, the bigger news is that Alex passed the written test for his Private Pilot’s license! No, he can’t take you for a ride just yet, but it’s one of those first steps to a lifetime of flight. We are incredibly proud of him! Of course, he couldn’t have done it without the careful “prodding” of Poppop! Thanks Pop!
Meanwhile, the kids have been all over the South again. Alex and Ashley spent time in NC & GA with grandparents. While Alex was learning to fly, Ashley was learning how to ride motorcycles! (-;
Cassie & Carlie are returning today from a 12-day youth choir trip. They’ve covered a lot of miles!
Alysia and I are eager to have the family back together again, but we’ve also enjoyed the quiet of the past two weeks. (-:
