So you may be asking, what did we do while in Indy?  Well, we went for the part known as the National Fine Arts Festival.  It was also part youth convention, and of course the biennial General Council of the Assemblies of God.  But mostly we went to hear Justin sing!

You see, Justin McCain is a very gifted, multi-talented young man.  He plays guitar and even writes songs.  Here he is during the presentation of his Songwriting-Solo entry.

Justin is also a very good singer, and had an entry in the Male Vocal Solo category.

Justin and his girlfriend Lindsey had an entry in the Songwriting-Collaborated category as well.  Many thanks to singer/songwriter/performer/recording artist David Meece for taking the time to get the sound just right for them!

But you have to understand, with the plethora of entries in the songwriting and vocal solo categories, a second round of performances is necessary for the judges to know who the really great ones are.  That means callbacks….

For both categories….

And then they tell you to be prepared, in case you win, to perform as part of the Celebration Service.

All in all, we are extremely proud to be a part of the same church as Justin.

• Out of all the Songwriting Collaborated entries, Justin-N-Lindsey placed 10th.
• Out of the Songwriting Solo entries, Justin placed 2nd.
• And out of 133 Male Vocal Solo entries, Justin placed 5th.

Wow–it’s hard to realize that it’s been a week already since we returned from the Fine Arts Festival in Indianapolis.  I’ve had a very busy week at work (hey–it takes a lot to keep the place quackin’!)  Alysia and the kids had an interesting week getting back into their school schedules.

I really want to post some Indy 07 tales, but at the moment this is the best I can do.  It’s a picture I took with my cell phone of the House of Brass performing their presentation.  I will try to get some video up really soon.

Meanwhile, I want to express many thanks to the Caribbean Trading Company.  Stan and Ellen, the kids looked great!  I cannot thank you enough for helping us with their outfits.  Your customer service is wonderful!
